What this wiki is for
Players searching for Alien Isolation 2 are not looking for a recap of 2014. They want a release date that still does not exist, a straight answer on whether Amanda Ripley is playable, and a plan for a Xenomorph that now hunts both indoors and in the rain. Previews from Summer Game Fest 2026 and gamescom 2026 finally give us a usable picture: you play Blake, a Weyland-Yutani arrival on a mining colony, investigating a crashed module tied to Sevastopol.
This homepage is the map. Use the Guides when you want tactics. Open Story when you need the plot without a trailer-only fog. Check Gameplay for stealth, noise, and AI behavior. Scout Locations before you walk into Kurosaki. Inventory Items if you are wondering whether the motion tracker still beeps. Track the release window, compare preview verdicts, then run the Survival Advisor when you want a protocol instead of a slogan.
The original game punished impatience. The sequel, directed again by Al Hope on Unreal Engine 5, is being built to punish habits. Hiding under a table still works, until it does not. Saving at an emergency phone still works, until the rain and the tracker tell you that safety was always a feeling. Read with that in mind.

01 / Survive
Guides built from the demo, not from guesswork
Hands-on sessions last about thirty minutes and almost always end the same way: someone restores power, something leaves containment, and a player dies two steps from a hatch. That loop is the tutorial. Start with how to play Alien Isolation 2 if you never finished the first game. Jump to how to survive the Xenomorph if you did, and still died in lockers. The hiding guide covers tables, vents, and the new bad habit of staying still too long. The distraction guide is for noisemaker and throwable users. Outdoor pressure is different enough to need its own colony-surface survival page. If you only care about the opening, use the prologue walkthrough.
02 / Story
Months after Sevastopol, a new name on the roster
The sequel is not a silent reboot. It sits a few months after Alien: Isolation. Amanda Ripley narrates the wound the first game left; she is not the character you steer. Blake is. The plot page tracks the official premise: a survey team finds a mysterious crashed vessel on a remote colony world, and one member makes it her job to look inside. The Blake dossier collects what previews actually said about her, including the corporate angle and the rumor that she is carrying more than a company brief. The timeline pins Sevastopol, the ejected KG348 lab, LV-921, and Kurosaki Station into one chain so trailer dialogue about an expensive mistake has somewhere to live.
03 / Systems
An unscripted hunter with a larger cage
Creative Assembly is not replacing the original loop. It is stretching it. The Xenomorph AI still hunts by sight and sound, still refuses a boss-health bar, and now has to learn weather, tree lines, and open mud instead of only ceiling vents. Stealth and noise remain the real combat system. Emergency save phones still exist, and you hold the button. Working Joes occupy the wreck before the perfect organism does. Controls are not final public charts, but DualSense, full controller support, and the first game’s lean vocabulary (crouch, lean, hold breath, aim the tracker) are the right rehearsal. Crafting is back as more than molotov math: preview players used it to restore power, open routes, and manufacture a second exit when the first one became a mouth.
04 / Map
A planet, a station, a lab that should be dead
The marketing line is simple: endure the elements on the surface, then the claustrophobia of a Weyland-Yutani outpost. The names matter. LV-921 is the colony world named in previews. Kurosaki Station is the official outpost, a mining colony with industrial interiors that still look like 1979. Project KG348 is the laboratory module jettisoned from Sevastopol, found crashed and sealed, then opened by people who should have known better. Outdoor sequences in the demo used a dead forest, trenches, lightning, and a crippled rover. Indoor sequences used round ship geometry, peeled vents, and a synthetic that arrives before the perfect organism does.
05 / Loadout
Old friends in the toolbox
Art director Ana Sopikova confirmed the motion tracker is still in the key art and still the instrument you will over-trust. The weapons and tools page lists what previews actually put in Blake’s hands: throwables, noisemaker logic, craftable utilities, and returning favorites such as the flamethrower as a deterrent rather than a win condition. You still cannot kill the Xenomorph. You can only buy seconds. Those seconds are the whole game.
06 / Launch
No date, four platforms, seventeen languages
SEGA’s product sheet still says TBD. Store pages say coming soon. Journalists talk about 2027 because the footage is pre-alpha and gamescom 2026 was told, bluntly, that a date would not arrive that week. Isolation 2 still left Cologne with a Best Audio win, which is a sound prize, not a review score. The release page keeps the honest status: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC on Steam (app 4665290), and Nintendo Switch 2. Wishlist is live on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox; Switch 2 wishlisting was still catching up after the reveal. Use the wishlist guide if you are shopping, and the gamescom recap if you want the floor notes. System requirements are only partly public: Windows 10 minimum, Windows 11 recommended, Unreal Engine 5, full controller support including DualSense over USB. Do not trust sites recycling the 2014 GPU list. For tone and quality, read the preview roundup instead of a fake review score.
07 / Protocol
A small tool for a large panic
When a preview describes three valid escapes from the same room, a static guide is not enough. The Survival Advisor asks for environment, threat, and play style, then points you at the matching tactic page. It is not a cheat. It is a way to rehearse decisions you will not have time to google when the tracker starts to climb.
