Save Stations in Alien Isolation 2
The sequel brought the most hated furniture in survival horror planetside, then named a teaser after the feeling you get when the light turns green.
The booth followed you
April’s teaser, False Sense of Security, is twenty-five seconds of a door opening onto rain and an emergency phone waiting in it. Rock Paper Shotgun clocked the joke immediately: Isolation’s save ritual is more dreadful than many chestbursters because the Alien can hear the beep if it is close enough. The sequel did not retire the booth. It put weather around it. That is the LV-921 thesis in a single prop.
Push Square’s gamescom notes add a verb: you hold the face button at the iconic save points instead of treating them as a casual tap. Doors, in the same write-up, wait for a press instead of opening because you existed. Those are tension taxes, not accessibility footnotes. Pair them with survival: if the hunter is in the booth’s radius, you are not saving, you are advertising. The comparison page keeps the delta in one list.
How to use a phone without worshipping it
Glance the tracker, listen, then commit. Do not camp the booth. The teaser’s title is the manual. Indoor Kurosaki will make phones feel like chapels. Outdoor rain will make them feel like lamps. Neither is a bunker. If you need a protocol instead of a paragraph, the advisor will tell you to name two exits before you restore anything, including a save.
The clip below is the official twenty-five seconds. It is not a full save tutorial because the campaign is unreleased. It is the correct object to study if you still think green lights mean mercy.
