Alien Isolation 2 Controls
SEGA has not published a final button map. Store pages have published enough for your hands to start lying less.
What storefronts actually list
Steam lists full controller support, Xbox controllers, and DualSense over USB. That is not a complete overlay. It is a promise that the sequel is being built as a pad-first horror game the way the original was. Hands-on at gamescom ran on PC with a DualSense. If you are rehearsing, rehearse on a controller. Keyboard players will still be able to play; they should not expect a published key list from this wiki inventing one.
The verbs to keep in muscle memory are Isolation’s: crouch-walk, lean, hold still / hold breath if the sequel keeps that locker language, aim and lower the tracker, throw, melee for crates and Joes, sprint only as a confession. Those verbs live in the how-to-play loop and the stealth page. A pretty overlay will not save you if lean is not in your wrist. Push Square’s gamescom chair added two taxes that belong on the pad: you hold the face button at save phones instead of tapping, and doors wait for Cross / X instead of opening because you existed. The same write-up felt Xenomorph footsteps rumble through DualSense even while the creature walked another part of the lab. USB support is listed; that thud is a preview sensation, not a published haptics spec.
Accessibility and remapping are unlisted. Do not copy 2014’s menus as fact. When SEGA publishes them, this page will move. Until then, the useful control article is about discipline: put the tracker down, do not hold sprint, bind whatever you use so throw is not a panic adjacent to melee. Panic adjacent binds are how you punch a wall and invite the AI to class.
Rehearsal without a demo
Replay Isolation if you own it, not for story, for posture. Play a Sevastopol corridor with the tracker off for one minute. Play a minute with it on and notice how much you stare. That stare is the habit Isolation 2 is built to tax. Then read the prologue so your first public hour is not spent learning where the hatch is while also learning where lean lives.
Switch 2, PS5, Xbox, PC will not share one overlay. Expect platform help screens at launch. Expect this wiki to stay honest about what is missing. For PC specs, see system requirements. For whether you even have a date to practice toward, see release.
