Alien Isolation 2 Prologue Walkthrough
Almost every hands-on played the same half hour. This is that route, written so you can leave with tools still in your pockets.
From rover to wreck
Amanda Ripley’s voice frames the wound of Sevastopol. Then you are Blake, in an APC or rover with CRT glow, on LV-921, with a team that still treats you as new. A Weyland-Yutani voice wants a crashed object checked on foot. The weather is already an enemy. Step out and the sound design opens into rain and wind. This is the outdoor tutorial pretending to be travel.
Find the sealed wreck. It is not Sevastopol-scale. Reports describe a small ring around a command core with labs attached: Project KG348, the module ejected in the first game, now on a planet instead of a gas giant’s rumour. Find an external hatch. Going in is the job. Going in is the mistake the trailer already scolded someone for. Read the KG348 page if you want the lore; this page wants the verbs.
Power, logs, and the first hunt
The lab is dead. You restore power because that is what survey people do. Systems come online, alarms, doors, logs that tell you exactly what was stored here. Hatches are peeled. Something left. A synthetic may already be a problem. Then a thud, and the perfect organism is in the room with you. From this moment the objective is exit, not science.
Scavenge throwables while the room is still merely creepy. You will want them when it is not. Hide under, vent through, distract aside, as in hiding and distraction. Crafting can open a route or restore an object that becomes a second door. If you only learn one path to the hatch, the Xenomorph will stand on it. Preview players who went back to the same ladder they used as an entrance got snatched at the light. That death is the tutorial’s thesis.
Dualshockers and GamingBolt both noted a damaged Working Joe grabbing Blake’s legs then powering down — cut in half in the crash. The public demo closes with the wreck being dragged toward a river; the settlement will be caught in the horror. That is still the same prologue many people played at gamescom, not a later chapter.
IGN’s hands-on below walks the familiarity problem: the lab is a sequel and a leftover. Use that. You are not mapping a new space station yet. You are mapping a crime scene that used to orbit Sevastopol. When you leave, you have not beaten the campaign. You have been introduced to Kurosaki’s weather and to a company that will send you back in.
Checklist before you call it done
Did you listen more than you looked at the tracker? Did you keep a throwable for the open floor? Did you name a second exit? Did you treat the phone, if you found one, as a save and not a bunker? If yes, you are ready for the rest of the guide hub and for the advisor. If no, play the opening again in your head until boring. Boring is how Blake keeps her last chance.
